Chrome Browser Extension

The eBillity Chrome Extension adds a timer widget to your browser, so you can start and stop time tracking without leaving the web page you're working on. It's especially useful for knowledge workers who spend their day in the browser.

Installing the Extension

1. Open the Chrome Web Store (chrome.google.com/webstore).
2. Search for "eBillity TimeTracker".
3. Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm.
4. Click the eBillity icon in your browser toolbar and log in with your TimeTracker credentials.

Using the Extension

• Start a Timer — Click the icon, select a client and project, and start the timer. It runs in the toolbar so you can see elapsed time without switching tabs.
• Quick Entry — Add a completed time entry directly from the popup without opening the full TimeTracker site.
• View Today's Entries — See what you've logged today at a glance.

When to Use It

The extension works best for people who move between web-based tasks throughout the day — answering emails, reviewing documents, doing research. Instead of switching to TimeTracker every time you start or finish a task, the extension keeps time tracking one click away in your toolbar.

Tips

• Pin the extension to your toolbar (right-click the Extensions puzzle icon > Pin) so it's always visible.
• Time entries created from the extension sync automatically to your full TimeTracker timesheet.
• If the extension isn't showing after installation, restart Chrome.
