How to Enter Time for a Previous Day

Go back and log time you forgot to enter yesterday or last week

Forgot to log time yesterday? It happens. You can enter time for any past date using either the Weekly or Daily Timesheet — the process is the same as entering time for today, you just need to navigate to the right date first.

On the Weekly Timesheet

The Weekly Timesheet shows all seven days at once, so past days are already visible. Simply click the cell for the correct day column and enter your hours. If the day you need is in a previous week, use the left arrow next to the date range at the top to navigate back.

On the Daily Timesheet

Use the left arrow next to the date at the top of the page to navigate to the previous day. You can go back as many days as needed. Once you're on the correct date, enter your time as you normally would.

Using Timers for Past Time

If you prefer using timers, you can create a manual time entry for a past date instead. Timers run in real time and always record the current date, so they're not suitable for retroactive logging.

Note: If your admin has locked a past time period, you won't be able to enter or edit time for dates within that locked range. Contact your admin if you need to make changes to a locked period.
