Mobile: How Syncing Works

How the app keeps your data in sync and what the sync bar means

The mobile app syncs with the Time Tracker server whenever you have an internet connection. The sync bar at the bottom of every screen shows when data was last synchronized (for example, "Last sync: 05/11/2026@12:49 PM MST").

  • Automatic sync — The app syncs automatically when you save an entry, open the app, or navigate between screens.
  • Manual sync — Tap the refresh icon (circular arrow) in the sync bar to force a sync at any time.
  • Two-way sync — Changes made on the web (by you or your admin) also appear in the app after syncing.

Tip: If your data looks stale or you are not seeing recent changes, tap the refresh icon in the sync bar. If the issue persists, close and reopen the app.
