Using Copy Last Timesheet

Save time by copying last week's clients and projects into a fresh timesheet

If your week looks similar to the last one — same clients, same projects, maybe even similar hours — there's no reason to rebuild your timesheet from scratch. Copy Last Timesheet carries forward your previous week's structure so you can just update the hours.

How to Use It

  1. Open the Weekly Timesheet for the current week.
  2. Click "Copy Last Timesheet" in the top area of the page.
  3. Choose what to copy:
    • Structure only (default) — Copies Client-Project and Activity selections, but leaves hours and descriptions empty.
    • Include Time — Also copies the hour values from last week.
    • Include Description — Also copies the description text from last week.
  4. Click Copy. The rows from last week's timesheet appear with your selected options.
  5. Update the hours (and descriptions) for the current week.

What Gets Copied

  • Client-Project selections for each row
  • Activity selections
  • Billable/non-billable status
  • Hours and descriptions (only if you choose to include them)

When to Use It

  • Recurring work — If you bill the same clients for the same type of work every week, this saves you from re-selecting everything.
  • Steady workload — For teams with predictable schedules, copying structure and then adjusting hours is much faster than building from scratch.
Note: If you copy with "Include Time" enabled, review the hours carefully — last week's hours are a starting point, not a final answer. Adjust them to reflect this week's actual work.
