Using Zapier with TimeTracker
Connect TimeTracker to 5,000+ apps with automated workflows — no coding required
Zapier connects TimeTracker to 5,000+ apps without any coding. You can create automated workflows ("Zaps") that trigger actions across different tools — so when something happens in TimeTracker, another app reacts automatically, and vice versa.
How It Works
A Zap has two parts: a trigger (something happens) and an action (something else happens in response). TimeTracker can serve as either the trigger or the action.
Example Zaps
- TimeTracker → Google Sheets — When a new time entry is created, log it in a spreadsheet for custom reporting.
- TimeTracker → Slack — When an invoice is finalized, send a notification to your billing channel.
- TimeTracker → CRM — When a new client is added, create a matching record in HubSpot, Salesforce, or another CRM.
- Google Calendar → TimeTracker — When a meeting ends, prompt a time entry in TimeTracker.
Setting Up
- Go to zapier.com and create a free account (if you don't have one).
- Search for "eBillity" in the app directory.
- Select a trigger or action to start building your Zap.
- Authenticate with your TimeTracker credentials when prompted.
- Configure the trigger/action details and turn on the Zap.
Tips
- Zapier's free tier supports basic Zaps. More complex workflows (multi-step Zaps, filters) require a paid Zapier plan.
- Test each Zap before relying on it — run it once and verify the data comes through correctly.
- If you need a Zap that isn't available, check Zapier's "Request a Trigger/Action" feature.
